Start by attaching the template vertically and drill holes precisely at the marks using a 6mm drill bit. Then, thread the screws through the designated holes on the tie rods and into the wall.
Loosen the E-Latch and Adjust the Gate Width
To adjust the door, first loosen the E-latches. Once the E-latch is loosened, gently pull and extend the gate towards the wall. Ensure that the extension is even and the rail is aligned properly.
Install the upper latch and lower latch
Extend the door rail to the wall, determine the location of the lower and upper lock buckles and install them.
Adjusting the Latch Spacing
Adjust the width of the gate frame again, so that the distance between the handle and the upper latch wall bracket is less than 0.078inch. Install 3 E-latch.
Can the gate be opened by just pressing the handle button?
No, you need to press the handle button and lift the door at the same time. This door is double locked and must be lifted to unlock the latch underneath. This is to reduce the chances of the door opening accidentally due to the button being touched.
How do I determine if my stairs meet the installation requirements?
Please check the gate installation diagram above. You need to ensure that the hinges on both sides are installed on the same vertical plane. Please measure whether the stair pillars meet the conditions before purchasing.
